And ouch about the drive. Though it's great that you managed to pinpoint the problem before it all went to hell. I only had bad luck with a drive once, I bought a NAS storage unit with 2 drive and after only 3 months it started malfunctioning, it was making weird noises at first but after ca. 8 months it was rebooting constantly... one of the drives simply died but I got a new one from the manufacturer and so far so good - 3 years and counting :D
