anyway, cats are, at least to me, the best thing that can happen. I don't have one right now, but I'll always have the many many memories of our "four musketeers", as we dubbed them. Four raucious boys, born on the couch in our old living room, going by the names "Charlie", "Tom", "Jerry" and "Oscar" (yeah, he was a gold-colored cat, and I'm proud to say that I was the reason he didn't die on his birthday). They came upon us about a year after my father's death, and with every single day they spent with us, I could see a change in my mom, who was in a shock-like state since getting the news. One by one, they disappeared (I'm living in a town, so the chances for them to either get killed in a road accident or becoming a blind passenger were quite high), breaking my mother's heart once again.
