ART: In The Cold Dark Night (MCU, Phil Coulson/Clint Barton) for wipbigbang

Folks, I did it - I went, signed up to wipbigbang (on LJ), chose a fic and made some artwork for it (and right on time too!)!

The following images are for "In The Cold Dark Night" by ereshai, and the moment I read the summary, I just knew I had to claim it. You may ask why? That's why:


a) my second favorite fandom (after White Collar) - the MCU

b) my favorite slash pairing in the MCU - Clint Barton/Phil Coulson - in the leading parts, with characters from both the movies and the TV series appearing

c) vampires & werewolves and other mystical creatures, oh my!

Making of & Credits:

First things first: I had LOTS of fun making these artworks, since it was so different to making icons. And it went a lot faster than a set of twenty icons XD The most time went into preparing Clint's pic for further works (= manually deleting the background). From there on, it was an rather easy walk in the park for the rest of the way (I only had to redo the chapter 2 banner, since I forgot to make the font bold! *headdesk*)

OMG!!!!! I love these so much :D You have officially created epicness :D I particularly love those banner parts which link the characters with those fantasy elements, like Clint has a wolf shadow :D That is so clever *insert row of hearts which I have no f clue how to insert on my phone, lol*

*tacklehugs* thank you so much, honey! To be honest, up until a week or so before my posting date, I had no clue whatsoever about what to do. But then, one by one, the pieces fell into place (like the background pic, that spurred on the rest of it), and all I had to do was to put them together in the right way.

I know :D I wanted to show both sides of the characters, but in way that is not too spoilerish - hence the shadows ;)

Wow, that is some brilliant artwork, so colourful and it really draws the eye inward to the stark contrast of Phil just being all shades and secret agent guy :DDD LOVE IT!
