Despite my recent computer problems, I'm still on the mission to icon every single character my favorite actors have played XD Now it's another turn for Sebastian Stan, this time with his series "Kings", which I claimed for the current round of
episodes20in20. Since this round was a special one (comm is back from a long hiatus), we got an episode of our claimed show assigned, along with five screencaps that we had to use in the category section.
Of course, I got the pretty much darkest (not story-wise, but light-wise, since most of it is set during a blackout) out of the twelve episodes XD And on top of that, the only source of screencaps wasn't sorted in order, so I had to save every single cap (and do a rewatch of the beginning) before I even could get started. Anyway, it's finally complete and ready to post. Enjoy!
Alts:

Notes:
screencaps used in this batch: kissthemgoodbye
textures used for "large text" and "pattern": Google Image Search (no copyright infringement intended)
a quick note about the arrangements for "category" and "artist's choice": Initially, I didn't realize that three of the 5 provided caps featured Princess Michelle, but once I did, I just had to mirror the AC set on her brother, Prince Jack ;)

And dislike to your computer problem. Hope you can solve them quickly!

Date: 2018-09-10 01:18 am (UTC)The computer problem is already solved - I bought a new one last month, and I finally can say we're back to normal in terms of data locating and assembling in one place *does a litle dance*
As for the show: totally! It sadly has only 12 episodes, but like with "Political Animals", they definitely knew how to do a drama show. Without spoilering, I can safely say that the performances of the whole cast (Ian McShane, Sebastian Stan, Chris Egan, Susanna Thompson, Alison Miller, Dylan Baker, and many more) are stellar and award-worthy. Only little downside is the aforementioned shortness of the series (and for the DVDs: the rather grainy quality)
And I have to admit (kind of...again ;) ) never heard of the show...ooops. Me either, if not for my still going strong interest in one Seb Stan XD His Jack is such a ambigious character; like a pendulum, you never really know what side he will turn in the next moment (though his goals are rather apparent). And I honestly don't know if I could accept what they have in store for him in the finale!

Date: 2018-09-17 11:48 pm (UTC)I think you did a great job despite the issues ;) I really like close crop and your entire AC set is great!

Date: 2018-09-18 12:24 am (UTC)And thank you! Good thing that one of my programs I use for iconing has a function called "counter light" (which is like a light post behind the photographer, so to speak). Close Crop was, more or less, reserved for Prince Jack as soon as I read the themes XD The same goes for the AC set - I knew that I definitely would have some Jack icons here, if not within the themes.
Can we repeat that kind of challenge at some point in the future, please? For someone like me, who has seen so many TV shows in her life so far, it's way easier to work than the usual way. I always have a hard time to narrow it down first on a show, and then on an episode.
