When they announced Daniel to be the new Bond back in 2006, I was, like almost everyone, very sceptic if he would be able to fill the shoes of his predecessors. And boy, he did. From the very second he's on screen in "Casino Royale", Daniel captures the audience. He managed to give the Bond universe the much-needed push to relaunch, to refresh, and the audience was finally able to see the beginnings of the legendary spy. Another fact that Daniel did to the Bond myth was the rawness of his character, which is especially enhanced in "Skyfall", where the cinemagoers were presented with the probably most human Bond ever. This batch was made for Round 72 over at guys20in20. Enjoy!

thank you! I was literally racking my brain how to fill the "circle" theme, and then, while searching for pics, I all but stumbled over that one. And category was equally difficult - it's quite a task to find pics of Daniel showing any kind of emotion at all ;) AC2 is just so - it's from the opening scene from "Skyfall", right before the credits start to roll.

DC made me care about Bond. I haven't seen them all yet, but I will. Gritty, realsitc, and as you say, human. I'm sure the change in writing had something to do with it also, but it wouldn't have been so successful without DC.

thank you! Yeah, I haven't seen "Spectre" either, but the other three several times. And you can have the best written script - if you don't have an actor that can breath life into these words, it's only worth the paper it's written on.

I remember when I first watched "Casino Royale" - I sat with an open mouth in front of my TV after seeing that opening scene.

Oh, he's handsome!! And the icons are beautiful. I like the bright red in negative space. And I love ac3... because of the colors, of course!

I never cared for James Bond, but after I sat down to watch Casino Royale last year, I totally got sucked in by Daniel Craig. He is FANTASTIC in that role, and I wish he could play it forever. He's so intense and fierce. The first actor to play Bond that actually looks like he could hurt someone! CR is still my fave of his Bond movies, and it was the first thing I iconned when I finally came back from my long hiatus in February!

Circle is sharpened so beautifully, and the contrast is balanced nicely. Loving the greens and blues in Levels, as well as the stark lighting in Cat 1 and 5! The coloring and use of a grid texture for the backdrop in AC1 are perfect! :D

Aww, thank you!! Yeah, every single word you say is so true. I remember when I saw the first pics from the press conference, and I thought "Oh god, how can he be Bond at all?" And then came CR, and I was like "Wow!" He really throws himself all in in every single scene, and that's what's making him so believable as Bond (and Bond so human). And while some say that "Skyfall" has a slower pace in terms of action scenes, I love this movie, mostly because we finally get behind the mask of "James Bond, Spy" and see "James Bond, human being with a past".

As for "Circle", that sharpness was already there, I just enhanced it a little bit. The same goes for Cat1, Cat5 got a bit more treatment XD And AC1 already had the background (it's an official promo pic), so, once again, all I did was enhancing the beauty.

I had never cared for Bond even when Daniel was announced, but I saw him and right away thought he actually scared me and looked able to kick someone's ass. Like you said, he's really brought a humanity to the character, too. He's not just some boring womanizer that you can't relate to. I loved learning about his past in Skyfall as you did!

OMG. I'm so dumb. Of course, the grid comes from the tiles in the bathroom for the first fight scene. *facepalm* Well, no mater what, you did a great job of enhancing those photos, and honestly, picking the right ones in the first place is half the battle!
