Of all the Avengers we've met so far in the movies, Clint Barton aka "Hawkeye" is my favorite. Sure, it has a lot to do with the fact that his main choice of weapon is the bow and arrow (and I seem to have a thing for men who can wield them perfectly XD), but it's also cause of Jeremy Renner's acting talents. He's matter-of-factly, with a dash of sarcasm, his marksmanship (with every kind of weapon) is one of a kind, and his sharp mind can connect the proverbial dots sometimes way quicker than any of the apparent geniuses on the team. This batch was made for the current round over at [livejournal.com profile] character20n20. Enjoy!

thank you! Always happy to share, especially a set like this XD I seriously love the promoshoots and posters they did with Jeremy for the movies - awesome pics, and so great to work with. Some of them are even available as PNGs, which makes working with a different background a bit easier for me.

BTW, have you ever checked out [livejournal.com profile] moviefilmstills? Unless the challenge calls for a different movie (or I feel up for a challenge in the challenge), I like to throw in some Hawkeye icons.

I actually used to be a member and participate over there at one point. I don't think I've participated in over two years and I think I left the comm sometime last year when I was clearing out some of the comms I was a member of and it seemed like it was dead. I wasn't aware it was even going again. I'll have to check it out and maybe see about rejoining, then. :)

I have to agree with you about the promos and posters. I have a great many of them saved from when I used to make a ton of Clint icons and I seriously love Renner. I've seriously been wanting a Hawkeye or Strike Team Delta movie, especially something that might fix my OTP since I'm a huge Clint/Natasha shipper and currently still heartbroken about that. I'm not sure I understand what you mean about them being available as PNGs making it easier, though? I typically have about the same amount of work ahead of me whether it's a .jpg or a .png file, so I'm afraid I'm not following.

what I meant was that I don't have to delete the original background before using a texture. Since I'm using PaintNET for that step, I have to do it manually (which is, by far, the biggest p.i.t.a. in doing icons ;) ). And therefore, PNGs with a transparent background are an enormous time-saver for me.

Oh, that makes a lot more sense. Since I make a lot of fake background icons, I can totally relate. Have you tried using GIMP at all? You'd still have to cut things out, but it might give you more ease making icons if you don't want to buy a program. I known several people who use it and they can do as much or more than I can using Photoshop Elements 7. I typically use the quick selection tool and then clean up the edges and it's so much easier and more efficient than when I was erasing the whole thing manually.
