For this challenge, we had to do picspams on things (or in my case characters/actors) we are thankful for in our fandom(s).


Fandom: Supernatural


01-Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester

I'm a Dean Girl at heart (though I love Sam just the same), and it's mostly due to the way Jensen brings this character to life. He makes us cry when he cries, he makes us laugh with both words and actions, and even after 13 years, he manages to make us swoon and shows us new sides to our favorite big brother ever.



02-Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester

It took me some time to really warm up to him, but now I can profundly say that I can't imagine another actor playing Sam Winchester - Jared and Jensen are more than colleagues, they've become brothers in everything but blood in real life too, and they not only show us this at every convention they are at, they also let this bond influence the way Sam and Dean develop over the years. And Jared has enormously evolved over the years, both physically and with his acting talents.



03-Misha Collins as Castiel

With Misha, it was almost the way it was with Jensen: I love his way of portraying the angel from the very first scene we see him (which is, in my opinion, still the coolest character introduction ever). Sure, I wasn't always okay with Cas' decisions, but at least we got the chance to see Misha acting in every direction, showing us different sides of the Winchester's heavenly companion.



04-Mark Sheppard as Crowley

As I wrote in an icon post just the other day, when we first met the King of Crossroads (who later became King of Hell), I couldn't care less about this character. But, thanks to Mark Sheppard's wide variety of acting abilities, we got to see so many more sides to his character as well, and now I definitely can add him to my list of favorite characters in the SPN fandom.

Fandom: Marvel Cinematic Universe


01-Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye

Before seeing "Marvel's The Avengers" for the first time, I would have drawn a blank if I got asked about a character called "Hawkeye". But then I saw the movie, and I got hit by an arrow ;) The fact that Hawkeye made it onto my all-time favorite movie characters list is mostly due to one guy: Jeremy Renner. I know, a lot of people can't stand him, but to me, he's perfect as the resident archer of the team. Clint is the most down-to-earth guy in the group (next to Steve), and is still able to stand his ground in a combat, no matter if the opponents are human beings, aliens, or robots (his little speech to Wanda during the showdown in Sokovia is both funny and so dead-on summarizing his character XD)



02-Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanov/Black Widow

Like with her best friend Clint Barton, I almost fell immediately in love with Natasha Romanov the moment she appears in "Iron Man 2". She's a walking talking weapon, and still, she has this air of elegance on her that makes even her fiercest fights look like a graceful dance (at least on her side).



03-Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America

Back when Chris was announced to play the iconic comic character in "The First Avenger", I only knew him from his two-time stint as another superhero: as Johnny Storm in the first two "Fantastic Four" movies. Fast forward a couple of years, and after seeing him as Steve Rogers, the man out of time, in a total of five films, I'm amazed with his portrayal of the super-soldier.



04-Sebastian Stan as James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes/The Winter Soldier

Like with Clint (and any other Marvel hero on this list, for that matter), I didn't know anything about Bucky Barnes before seeing "The First Avenger". And even then, he was more of a side character to me than anything else, I was too focused on Steve's development to pay real attention to him. That came with "The Winter Soldier". I was surprised to see Steve's former best friend as the main acting part of the movie's group of villains, as well as seeing Sebastian performing some awesome stunts (the way he juggles a knife during the fight with Steve on the street is still leaving me breathless!). And thanks to a whole array of super-sweet fanfictions featuring this couple, I really came to a point where I love this character.



05-Tom Hiddleston as Loki Laufeyson

Back in the first "Thor" movie, we saw only glimpses - of both Loki's potential to be a true villain and Tom's acting abilities. They both came to blossom in "The Avengers". And truth be told, I was mad at Loki for killing Coulson (another character I loved from his very first scene in the franchise). But now, I simply love this, admittedly, a bit crazy Asgardian prince.

Fandoms: Several - Karl Urban

My favorite Kiwi is a well-known name in the realms of fantasy, superhero, and science-fiction movies. Here in this picspam you can find his parts from "Lord of the Rings", the "Star Trek" reboot series, "Pathfinder", the "Riddick" movies (pic is from the first one), "Priest", "Doom", "Dredd", and "Thor: Ragnarok". (talking about all of them would probably kill LJ/DW XD)

Thank you, he was pretty much the first that came to mind when we got the challenge post. But the biggest challenge with these picspams is to choose the right pics, especially when you have several dozen pics to select from ;)
