We're in the homestretch, so to speak, until the launch of "Avengers: Infinity War" (not even three weeks now), and of course, Marvel dishes out some new promotional material. Though this time, they excelled themselves (or almost XD). I can't really remember all the character posters we got over the last 10 years, but I like to think that (at least) this first set is exceptional beautiful.

Stunning, aren't they? Well, there's still some gaps left *cough* Hawkeye, Ant-Man, Loki *cough*, but overall, I love that Marvel knows how to treat the fans. Oh, and speaking of... here's a second set (don't know if it's official or not, found them on IMDB in a poll), but still, these are equally gorgeous, and I especially love the comic vibe coming from them.

At first glance, Round 79 over at guys20in20 is a rather usual one. You choose a guy, make 20 (or more) icons of him, and that's it. But - and that's a big but - not this time. This time, we had to include one of the guys in the banners for the rounds in 2016 and our second choice in the set.

My first choice was Robert Downey jr. Like none other actor, he's a living, breathing synonym for overcoming even the lowest low in life. As you might remember, he even went to jail back in the 90s before getting his footing back and rising up to be one of the most popular actors of our time. Very inspirational for your own bad times, that's all I'm saying.

For my second choice, I picked an actor that has, similar to Jeremy Renner, been lurking in the back of my mind, ever since I first saw the second and third part of the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy - Karl Urban. Back then, he played Eomer, leader of the riders of Rohan. But it should take until seeing "Almost Human" for the first time (which was in late 2015) to push Karl to the front.

Last but not least, the "Remember 2016" icon space goes to an actor that has been taken from us way too soon, and in probably the freakiest way ever - Anton Yelchin. He also is kind of a bridge between the other two guys. Robert did "Charlie Bartlett" with him, and Karl was one of his teammates on board of the starship Enterprise in the "Star Trek" Reboot.
