As promised in the last post, here's my art for the second story I nabbed as a pinch hitter for the SPN Trope Celebration. "Lost And Found" has, just like "Dancing With The Devil", a pairing that I haven't had before - Sam and Cas. My wonderful author sarasaurussex (sarasaurusrex on AO3) has written an equally wonderful story that shows a bond that usually gets lost in the "profound bond" between Dean and Cas. But, that's all I'm gonna say about the story - you'll have to read it to find out more! ;)

Right on time for the return from Winter Hiatus, Entertainment Weekly has published both the covers and images from the shoot for the Jan 25 issue, which will focus on the upcoming 300th episode (and the special guests we will see there). *waves enthusiastically* I'm BACK!! In case you wonder where I wandered off to - blame it on my old laptop (may he rest in peace). Despite that huge technical setback, I did my best to work on all the Big Bangs I've signed up. And now the time has come to present you the first in a row (which will come to this theater over the next few months).
It's for the Team Free Will Big Bang, and the absolutely wonderful story "Momma, We Tried", written by BehindTheCellarDoor (AO3) / impalartsociopath (tumblr). I won't spoil the story for you (I guess the pics do to an extent), but just know that it's set in AU that, in some aspects, isn't as far away from the show's world as it seems. Sure, there are enough elements in the story that go far off from the storyline we've come to love over the last 14 years, but others, especially about the boys, are almost the same as on TV.

You would think that if one has (at least) one 64 GB USB stick almost full with images of one show, she would be able to fill a twenty theme rooster in no time. Ha! Not when you combine it with my tendency to be a perfectionist, means I always want the best (and probably most unique) pics for the icons *grumbles* Anyway, I finally made it *kicks RL* and present you yet another 20 SPN icons, this made for Round 7 over at The CW 20n20. Enjoy!

Dreams Are My Reality

Word count: 100 on the nose.

Spoilers: not really

Summary: Dean realizes that dreams can be deceiving.

Notes: Written for spn_bigpretzel's „D.E.W. - Drabble Every Weekend" on LJ. Character prompt was Mary Winchester, theme prompt „sleep/dreams". Set at the beginning of Season 4. Title comes from a song by Richard Sanderson.

Disclaimer: Still haven't found the right spell to magically make them mine. *grabs the next book*


When he was a kid, Dean either dreamed of becoming a mechanic, like his daddy John, or he dreamed of angels. Sure, when you hear every night before you go to sleep that „Angels are watching over you", your mind tends to settle on that topic.

But now, after being rescued from Hell by an actual angel, Dean couldn't help but being a little bit disappointed. All through his childhood, he imagined angels as beautiful as his mother Mary, with kind eyes, a soft smile and long blond hair – which Castiel wasn't at all. Guess he could live with that.
